Coaching Approach
-
Drawing from my expertise in squash and specialized training in ADHD, I have developed a coaching strategy that integrates therapeutic principles to support children with ADHD.
The game of squash creates a fun and empowering environment, allowing these children to learn specific techniques and methods that lead to significant improvements in managing their ADHD symptoms.
-
"Squash My ADHD" not only offers fun-filled coaching tailored for children with ADHD but also fosters a space where they are understood and accepted.
Parents gain valuable insights into their children's growth and skill development, making "Squash My ADHD" a vital resource for supporting the mental health and well-being of kids with ADHD.
-
ADHD impacts a child's ability to focus, regulate impulses, and manage energy levels. At its core are executive functions—cognitive abilities that serve as the brain’s management system.
These functions influence behaviour and reveal deeper challenges in how the brain organizes and handles responsibilities.
-
This "Squash my ADHD" coaching system adapts traditional squash techniques to empower children with ADHD.
By blending physical activity with cognitive development, I offer a holistic approach that strengthens and supports executive functions.
My goal is to use specific movements, paired with cognitive challenges requiring focus, strategy, and quick decision-making, to help children with ADHD complete tasks more effectively.
-
Improved Focus and Attention: Training the brain to sustain concentration for longer periods.
Enhanced Planning and Organization: Teaching planning and organizational skills through squash.
Better Impulse Control: Helping children regulate their impulses and emotions.
Strengthened Working Memory: Using squash to learn and recall movement sequences.
Boosted Confidence and Emotional Regulation: Combining physical activity with praise and affirmation to uplift mood and emotional regulation.
